Natural Set of 10 x finely textured natural sea sponges.
This natural product is an essential piece of equipment for every watercolorist and artist/craftsperson alike. Great for achieving a range of effects on a variety of surfaces. Particularly useful for dabbing to achieve clouding in skies as well as tree and undergrowth fine texturing in water colour painting. Also suitable for detailing in ceramics.
Being a natural product each sponge is individual in its size and shape with its own unique surface. Generally these small sponges measure 40mm dia. approx. (similar to the size of a golf ball) with a fine delicate texture. Whilst very light they retain sufficient toughness to work over paper surfaces to lift surplus liquids. Natural sponges have the ability to hold more water than foam or synthetic alternatives.
Caring for your sponges:
Rinse in clean cool water before use. Squeeze out only - DO NOT WRING! Allow to dry naturally. Do not store in a plastic bag. Do not boil or use detergents. Do not allow to dry out before washing.
