The drawing boards come in A2 and A1, with T-squares in 60cm and 80cm lengths, so there's a straight edge to suit the size of sheet you draw on.
A flat board with a straight edge you can slide (a T-square or a parallel motion drawing board), 45° and 60° set squares, a scale rule, a compass, fine pens or a sharp pencil, and layout or tracing paper. Templates for circles and furniture save time once you're drawing plans.
A triangular scale rule. Ours has 12 metric scales on three colour-coded sides, including 1:50, 1:100 and 1:200 for building plans and 1:500 to 1:2500 for site plans. A flat scale rule is slimmer and easier to carry.
A T-square hooks over the edge of any table and is easy to carry, so it suits students who draw in different places. A parallel motion board locks a straight edge across the whole sheet, which is quicker and more accurate on A2 and A1 drawings.
Layout paper is light and semi transparent, so it's good for working out a design over a grid or an earlier sketch. For finished drawings and overlays, use tracing and detail paper.
